How to find the cheapest gas in Grand Est?

In Moselle and Alsace, being close to Luxembourg is a key factor: fuel there is noticeably cheaper than in France, and many cross-border commuters fill up there. In the Ardennes and Marne, supermarket stations remain the best bet. Strasbourg has a competitive network despite being a large city.

The Je Carbure Malin app locates every station around you in real time and ranks them by price. Free on iOS and Android, it uses official data from the French Ministry of Economy, updated several times a day.

Which fuel should you choose in Grand Est?

The region's long automotive history (PSA in Mulhouse) has kept LPG widely available. SP98 is popular among drivers of German vehicles, which are often tuned for it.

In general: diesel remains cost-effective on long trips thanks to its better energy efficiency. SP95-E10 suits almost all vehicles made since 2000 and is cheaper than regular SP95. E85 is the cheapest fuel per liter — but it burns faster, which cuts the real-world savings to about 20-30% depending on the vehicle.
